About Me
Hello! (again—I’m starting to feel like Adele here…)
I’m a writer, editor, and all around word-lover residing in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Other places I’ve called home over the years include: Florida, New York, and Colorado.
I earned my M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The New School in New York City while working as a freelance editor (and, later, a non-freelance editor). Before that, I earned my B.A. in Writing from Grand Valley State University. (That Writing degree entails a lot, including document design, professional/technical writing, and audience analysis—as well as creative writing.)
While I love fiction writing and devote my free time to it, I find just as much joy in crafting user-friendly content that helps regular people do not-so-regular things. (The world’s complicated enough without jumbled language making it more so!)
Just for fun, here are five random facts about me:
I once had a pet tortoise named Terrence.
My favorite color is green.
I am always ready and willing to discuss Taylor Swift. (I fully believe in evermore supremacy as well as the existence of woodvale.)
I love dogs, which might explain the dog GIFs you might have seen at random while browsing this site.
My eye for detail sometimes makes watching mystery shows and movies difficult for others.
